Online work
In recent years, we have also begun to organize events without meeting in person. Various online tools make it possible to connect even across long distances. Some of the events we organize can still be attended remotely.

Online work also offers new opportunities for one-to-one meetings. Conversational support can be provided even across national borders, as there is no need to travel for a meeting.
Open events organized online are listed in the event calendar at the bottom of the page.
Rules for the Finnish Seamen’s Church’s Social Media Pages
On Facebook and its other social media pages, the Finnish Seamen’s Church communicates about its own activities and highlights related current topics and events.
It’s great that you follow the Finnish Seamen’s Church. You are welcome to participate. When commenting and taking part in discussions, please observe the following rules
- Constructive criticism is welcome, and we are happy to answer questions. Please note that we are not always able to review all comment threads daily, and sometimes a question may not be noticed immediately, but we aim to respond as soon as possible.
- Think carefully about what you write. What is illegal offline is also illegal on the internet. Posts suspected of constituting a crime will be reported to Facebook and, if necessary, to the authorities. Do not commit a crime.
- Do not violate anyone’s honor or privacy with your comments.
- People are individuals; avoid generalizations. You are also an individual—write only on your own behalf.
- Inappropriate, racist, offensive, or criminally inciting comments will be removed immediately and without warning.
- Swearing does not belong in constructive discussion.
- Repeated spreading of false information or inappropriate behavior will result in the user being blocked. At the discretion of the administrator, blocking may also be immediate.
- The Finnish Seamen’s Church’s Facebook page is pre-moderated for certain swear words and racist expressions
