The Finnish Seamen’s Church is with you around the world. We have been working for the benefit of seafarers and Finns living abroad since 1875.
We support individuals and communities in times of joy, sorrow, and everyday life.
For Organizations
The Seamen’s Churches carry out the work of Finnish home parishes abroad and strive to maintain the connection between parish members living overseas and the Church. In order to respond to the diverse challenges faced by our neighbours, we need the support of parishes. The importance of support from parishes and the Church will continue to grow in the future
For Organizations
Through corporate partnerships, companies can contribute, for example, to improving maritime safety – particularly in the Baltic Sea – or take part in supporting elderly Finns, as well as children and young people living abroad. Seamen’s Churches abroad also serve as hubs of Finnish identity, language, and culture, and as showcases for Finnish food products and design in Europe.

By supporting the Seamen’s Church, foundations enable its charitable activities as well as the maintenance of properties and equipment. At the same time, they contribute to promoting human wellbeing and to the prevention of social exclusion and accidents.

The Seamen’s Church cooperates with various educational institutions. We offer internship placements for students from many different fields. We also carry out a range of joint projects together with educational institutions.
